MACHINE COMPOSITION
The machine we have designed has the function of solving the need for palletizing to be integrated into the packaging lines. The technical result of the first models confirmed the excellent quality / price ratio. Below we highlight the salient features and related applications.

Extremely simple and compact, it is suitable for any layout. The particularity of the module on which are integrated the four movements (axes) collected in a single block allows to realize 360 ​​° solutions as well as mirror versions. Separately, we enclose the feasibility schemes;
The high structural strength allows to palletize cartons, retractable film bundles, paper / plastic bags, metal / plastic drums and any object of regular shape, with weights up to 35 kg;
The functional concept, known as the “SCARA” system, has four interpolated axes that allows greater speed than traditional Cartesian axes, the functions are as follows:
X AXIS: central module rotation;
Y AXIS: rotation of the elbow arm;
AXIS Z: vertical sliding of the elbow arm;
W AXIS: rotation of the sampling head.
The modular design allows to realize, by means of optional groups, automatic pallet handling solutions including the integration of the empty pallet magazine. The different versions respond to five types of automation as listed below:
NIMBLE 100: empty pallet insertion and full pallet extraction in manual mode;
NIMBLE 200: insertion on empty pallet roller conveyor and full pallet automatic extraction;
NIMBLE 300: automatic pallet handling on the same side at two picking levels;
NIMBLE 400: empty pallet magazine and full pallet automatic extraction;
NIMBLE 500: empty pallet side magazine and full pallet automatic extraction.

In order to stabilize the palletizing base, the X axis support anchors, relative to the central module, are integral with the structure, which is made of tubular steel and rests on the ground on a large area that does not require fixing to the ground.
The machine in its interior has a conveyor that can be: roller, roller shutter and cloth tape depending on the type of product. In this area the grouping for the multiple socket can be created by the integration of an optional translator.
The external roller conveyor, of length to be defined, can be placed in line or at 90 ° with respect to the exit of the pallet.
The device for picking up products can be made with a standard version suction plate or with jaws.
The machine is completely protected by transparent methacrylate panels or stainless steel mesh / painted (optional). The access area for the pallet change is controlled by a photocell barrier with muting function.
All the kinematics related to the four axes are driven by brushless motors and “zero” planetary gearboxes; while the radial movements are on ball bearings with the restart of the game and the linear ones on ball recirculating bearings.
Two levels of height have been planned to cover the whole palletizing range:
up to 1950 mm, pallet included: standard version;
up to 2450 mm, pallet included: high version (optional).
The height of entry of the product is variable depending on the connection with the upstream line. Adjustable from 500 mm to 800 mm.
The pallets that can be used are the euro pallets 800×1200 and 1000×1200 and the pallets USA 40 “x48”.
The positioning of the pallet inside the palletizing area is on the ground with angular contacts if the machine is in the NIMBLE 100 manual version. If the machine is in automatic version, where the pallets run on motorized rollers, the minimum height from the ground it is 85 mm.
In all the versions you can use: manual pallet truck, electric pallet truck or cart with cantilever forks.
The electrical panel is integrated into the frame of the accident prevention structure with access from the outside. A terminal board or connector separates the connection of the panel from the kinematic part of the machine.
The touch-screen operating panel, with analogue display, is positioned on the electrical panel.
It can be extracted and manually transportable with flexible cable at all points of the machine to view the functions and facilitate the programming of the formats.
The programming is done by self / learning. By prefixing the required configuration data on the touch screen, the system transfers the set layout to the PLC memory. The memory capacity can contain over 20 different formats.
The machine in a “dual” version has the possibility to palletize products of two different sizes on two separate pallets on the ground. They can arrive on a single conveyor belt where a cadence passes a product per cycle to the picking area and a scanner identifies its shape.

Or from two separate carriers to be transferred alternatively to your pallet.
An optional group is available to insert the interlayers in the various palletizing layers, taking them from a mobile container where the suction plate picks them up. The interlayers can be made of rigid or semi-rigid cardboard. The capacity of the container varies according to the thickness, if you can insert a stack of about 150 mm.
